Hear Yo-Yo Ma at Blossom

Few classical music stars break through to the mainstream the way cellist Yo-Yo Ma has. He brings his Silk Road Ensemble to Blossom at 8 p.m. with its eclectic array of music and musicians from many cultures. Tickets are $39-$120 at www.clevelandorchestra.com.

Feast on hamburgers at Lock 3

The National Hamburger Festival returns to Lock 3 in downtown Akron on Saturday and Sunday. It’s an all-local lineup for the burgers this year, with concoctions like the Akron Burger (Lawson’s chip dip, sauerkraut ball garnish) and Punch in the Mouth (with spicy sauce and Cheetos). There are contests and music both days, and a beer tasting Sunday for an extra fee. Admission is $5. http://hamburgerfestival.com.

Donate pots, pans at collection

Got old kitchenware just sitting around? Donate them to Recycle Pots and Pans, which will distribute them to families in need. They’re holding a Collection Day from 9 a.m. to noon at the Countryside Farmers’ Market at Howe Meadow, 4040 Riverview Road, Cuyahoga Falls. Ride bikes along Towpath Trail

The Tour du Towpath offers 8-, 16- or 32-mile bike routes along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail starting at the Canal Fulton Canalway Center. Registration is $30 for adults ($25 members), $10 for children 12 and under, $60 family (two adults and two youth). There will be a picnic lunch, music and raffle prizes; registration begins at 8 a.m. for the 32-mile, 9 a.m. for the 16-mile and 10 a.m. for the 8-mile. www.ohioeriecanal.org/tour-du-towpath.html.

Attend Massillon Museum fest

Fun Fest runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Massillon with an enormous range of things to do, including art and music programs, games, story times, contests, dancing, crafts and other hands-on activities, athletic events, a children’s book sale, health and safety education and lots of food. It’s centered on First Street and Lincoln Way East and on the lawn of the Massillon Museum.
