Beacon Journal staff report
The National Institute for Civil Discourse has created a Text, Talk, Revive Civility mobile phone application that allows groups of diverse interests to work together on questions that are texted to the group.
Through videos and conversations, people quickly identify common beliefs that help them work toward solutions.
The institute brought together media, politicians and citizens a year ago, resulting in several Ohio news organizations, the University of Akron and the Jefferson Center joining in the Your Vote Ohio project.
Through collaboration, the news outlets are attempting to represent Ohioans in the election process through polling and group deliberation.
