John Glenn remains in hospital
An Ohio State University official says former astronaut and U.S. Sen. John Glenn has been hospitalized for more than a week.
Hank Wilson with OSU’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs said Wednesday that the 95-year-old Glenn is at the James Cancer Hospital, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he has cancer.
Wilson said he didn’t have other information about Glenn’s condition, illness or prognosis.
Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth in 1962. He served as a U.S. senator from Ohio from 1974 to 1999.

Country panel rejects Beyonce
Beyonce earned a whopping nine Grammy nominations Tuesday, including best rock performance, but her twangy song Daddy Lessons was rejected by the Recording Academy’s country music committee.
A person familiar with the nomination process told the AP on Wednesday that Beyonce submitted the song to the country category. The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not allowed to speak publicly about the topic, said the committee rejected it. If Daddy Lessons had made it through, it would have been eligible for honors such as best country song and country solo performance.
