Let’s go Flashes!

Kent State once again is tops in the state for the number of new college coeds who sign up to attract so-called Sugar Daddies to help pay for their college.

The mutually beneficial relationship website SeekingArrangement.com released its annual ranking Monday of the most active colleges and universities in the country where coeds offer up their friendship in exchange for help in making ends meet.

Kent State ranked eighth in the country with 124 new sign-ups in 2016 — making 1,074 coeds from the college now listed on the dating service.

Among the other Ohio colleges and universities, the University of Cincinnati ranked No. 30, Ohio State University No. 49, Ohio University No. 54 and Bowling Green State University No. 63.

The website claims the average monthly allowance collected by those students who sign up for the dating service received $2,400.

With a rise in college tuition costs and student debt, Brandon Wade, founder and CEO of SeekingArrangement.com, said it is no wonder college students are turning to unorthodox ways to pay for their education.

“Students are tired of hearing politician’s hyperbole about what they might do to resolve the student debt crisis,” Wade said in a statement. “They’re taking matters into their own hands.”

Some 1,204,980 students were registered on SeekingArrangement to seek older companions to help pay for tuition last year — an 11 percent increase over 2015.

Temple University was No. 1 in 2016 for new sign-ups.
