Police seek shooters
AKRON: Police have released surveillance images of a pair of men who allegedly shot two patrons of an Akron strip club early Sunday morning.
The attackers appear to be black men in their 30s.
One of them is 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3, weighing 240 to 250 pounds. He has black braided hair, a beard and moustache, and was wearing camouflage pants and a gray shirt.
The other is 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9. He wore a knit hat with a white emblem on the front, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and a jacket.
Both men fled the scene of Clutch Gentleman’s Club, 1890 S. Arlington St., after the shooting, which occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday.
According to reports, the suspects were involved in an altercation with two other patrons — 33-year-old men from Canton and Detroit — and one of the suspects opened fire. The Canton man was wounded in the abdomen and upper leg. The Detroit man was shot in the upper right leg.
Both men were transported to Summa Akron City Hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
Woman beaten, robbed
AKRON: A 37-year-old woman was robbed early Saturday morning by three people who allegedly kicked and punched her in the face repeatedly.
The woman told police she was walking home from a friend’s house at 4 a.m. when three people — a man and two women — approached her at 18th Street Southwest and Kenmore Boulevard. One suspect punched the woman and knocked her to the ground. The others joined in, kicking and punching her, while one of them stole $20 from her. The attackers then fled.
The woman, who police reported had visible injuries to her face, went to a nearby business and asked for help. The woman was taken by paramedics to Summa Akron City Hospital.
The suspects are a white man and two white women, all ages 25 to 30.
The man stands at about 5-foot-9. He weighs 250 pounds and wore a red hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black shoes and a black hat.
One of the women was about 5-foot-4 with brown hair and green pants. She wore a red zip-up hooded sweatshirt and white shoes.
The other woman was 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 and weighed about 150 pounds. She had brown hair and wore a similar red zip-up sweatshirt. She had dark pants and white shoes.

BARBERTON
Man charged in shooting
BARBERTON: A Warrensville Heights man is in police custody on allegations that he shot a man in Barberton who died a day later.
Antonio Parra, 26, is charged with murder. He’s accused of shooting 27-year-old Justin Randle, of Cleveland, at about 1:50 a.m. Saturday. Randle was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital, where he died early Sunday.
Parra was a passenger in a vehicle spotted fleeing the shooting scene in the 300 block of Michigan Place, according to police The alleged driver, 25-year-old Akiria Taylor, was charged with obstructing justice.
Parra and Taylor are being held at the Summit County Jail.
They were arrested during a traffic stop on Wooster Road North, where an officer spotted the vehicle attempting to leave the city. A loaded gun and two spent shell casings were located in the vehicle.
TALLMADGE
Council OKs schedule
TALLMADGE: City Council approved a measure last week to change committee meetings to 7 p.m. and general meetings to 7:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
Council passed what Mayor David Kline called “housekeeping ordinances” for the new year, mostly contract approvals for road repair and waterline repair.
