A 74-year-old woman who was seriously injured last week when her car collided with horse-drawn buggy has died, the Wooster post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Tuesday.

Joyce M. Morris of Sugarcreek was transported by helicopter to Summa Akron City Hospital after the crash at 11:10 a.m. Jan. 17 in Holmes County.

Morris had been driving north on S.R. 39 in Walnut Creek Township in a 2011 Chrysler 200 when an eastbound buggy that had been stopped at a stop sign on County Road 114 pulled into her path.

The horse was killed on impact.

The buggy operator and a passenger were treated for minor injuries at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg
