DAYTON, OHIO: An Ohio man found guilty in the death of a 6-week-old girl on charges of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Montgomery County’s prosecutor says 21-year-old Sharon Hancock, of Dayton, was sentenced Wednesday in the 2015 death of his girlfriend’s daughter, Alisa Albarracin.
The baby’s mother called 911 on Oct. 30, 2015, to report that her daughter was having difficulty breathing. The infant was taken to a hospital suffering from cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest.
Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. has said the infant died nine days later from injuries she suffered through Hancock’s actions. The prosecutor didn’t provide any additional details.
There was no answer to calls Wednesday to the office of Hancock’s attorney.
