Buble’s son doing well

Michael Buble says his son Noah, 3, “has been progressing well during his treatment” for cancer.

The Canadian singer and his wife, Argentine TV actress Luisana Lopilato, say in a statement Friday that “doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy.” They say Noah has been brave during the battle and they “continue to be inspired by his courage.”

The family announced Noah’s cancer in November. They didn’t say what type of cancer he has or when he was diagnosed.

The couple also has another son, Elias, who is 1.

Rapper honors Obama

Chance the Rapper is modeling a clothing line based on a fellow famous Chicagoan, former President Barack Obama.

Chance tweeted out photos of himself Thursday wearing Obama-themed clothing made by Joe Fresh Goods’ “Thank You Obama” line. Some of the items include a T-shirt imprinted with name of Obama’s daughter, Malia, and a basketball jersey with the number 44, in honor of the 44th president.

Chance has been a strong supporter of Obama. He has attended parties at the White House and appeared with Obama at last year’s National Christmas Tree lighting. He also appeared on the campaign trail last year to urge voters to back Hillary Clinton for president.

Actor discusses wife’s death

Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt says coroner’s officials have told him that his wife died last year from a combination of prescription medications and an undiagnosed heart condition.

Oswalt writes in a statement to the Associated Press that he and his wife Michelle McNamara did not know she had a condition that caused blockages in her arteries.

His statement released by a publicist says coroner’s officials told him that the blockages, combined with her taking the medications Adderall, Xanax and the pain medication fentanyl, caused his wife’s death in April 2016.

A coroner’s official said Friday the cause of death was still listed as pending.

McNamara died April 21 in her sleep at age 46.
