Things to Do, Feb. 13: ‘The Whale’ at None Too Fragile; cupcakes at library; learn about piano competition

See ‘The Whale’ on a Monday

Theater productions normally go dark on Mondays, but None Too Fragile offers an exception as it presents The Whale at 8 p.m. It’s an intimate story of a dying man who only wants to form connections with others. Hear a piano ConverZation

Pierre van der Westhuizen, a pianist who is also president and CEO of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, speaks at ConverZations at the Zimmermann Symphony Center at 2323 17th St. NW, Canton. The symphony’s Feb. 25 concert will feature the 2016 winner, Nikita Mndoyants, and van der Westhuizen will talk about the competition and the boost it provides for an artist’s career. The program starts at noon and listeners are invited to bring their lunch. www.cantonsymphony.org.

Decorate some cupcakes
