NORTHEAST OHIO
Group leader to leave post
RAVENNA: Dave Vaughan, director of Neighborhood Development Services Inc. for 11 years, has announced he will step down next year after having been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The early announcement will allow him a year to work with a transition team. Trustees have named Stacy Brown, the organization’s asset management director, as his successor.
Neighborhood Development Services has been helping area communities for 32 years with a wide range of programs from homebuyer education to economic development and downtown revitalization.
Among the projects Vaughan and Brown will work on is expansion of Barberton’s Kave coffee house, development of the Ravenna Theater, and four elderly housing projects.
