Check out sports memorabilia at Bobble Con
Bobblehead fans should head over to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, 753 N. Main St., Akron, to check out the “Bobble Con.” It starts at noon and runs until 2 or 3 p.m., organizer Pedro Avalos said. Cost is $5, which covers food, and a bar is available. You can bring other sports memorabilia to sell, trade or display, but bobbleheads are the main focus. Learn about rocks at Gorge Metro Park
It’s going to be sunny and warm, so take a hike at 10 a.m. to learn about the “Geology of the Gorge” at Gorge Metro Park, 1160 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A naturalist will explain how the different rock layers in the park were formed, and about the forces that have shaped those rocks. 330-865-8065.

Before or after, wander around downtown to check out the competition and see how fast the sculptures are melting at the Medina Ice Fest, which continues through Sunday.
