Author to talk about Cavs books, give autographs
With his book The Whore of Akron, Scott Raab became the voice of frustrated Cleveland fans after LeBron James took his talents to South Beach. (He’s heard from often in last year’s ESPN documentary Believeland.) Now that LeBron has brought a title to his hometown, Raab is back on bookshelves with You’re Welcome, Cleveland: How I Helped LeBron James Win a Championship and Save a City. He’ll speak about and sign his books at 7 p.m. at the Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 N. Main St., Hudson. http://hudsonlibrary.org.

Cleveland Public Theatre is presenting Barbecue through Saturday. The play depicts a family, “the pill-popping, chain-smoking, whiskey-swilling and foul-mouthed O’Mallerys,” who gather in a park to stage an intervention for one of the siblings, then adds a twist of racial politics. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Gordon Square Theatre. Tickets are $12-$30 at www.cptonline.org.
