Pregnant Ciara unhurt in crash

A representative for Ciara says the pregnant entertainer is doing well after a minor car accident Friday in Los Angeles.

A spokeswoman for the singer, 31, said both mother and baby are unhurt after another vehicle struck the passenger side of Ciara’s car.

Whoopi Goldberg story fake

Whoopi Goldberg didn’t say the widow of a Navy SEAL “was just looking for attention” during an emotional appearance at President Donald Trump’s address to Congress last month, despite a widely shared website article that quotes Goldberg criticizing the woman.

The Underground Report, which produced the online article, says it fabricates stories to satirize Trump supporters. Its site states it produces stories that “are not based in reality.”

Lauri Hogan, a spokeswoman for ABC, said Goldberg, who co-hosts ABC’s The View, never said the remarks.

‘Baby bump’ stories criticized

Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, who represents victims of rape and kidnappings by members of the Islamic State, urged a United Nations meeting to step up pressure on the extremist group, so why did her yellow dress and her “baby bump” also make headlines?

Criticism was swift Thursday for some news and entertainment outlets from outraged social media users, including some on Twitter who responded to the Time Inc. tweet: “Amal Clooney shows off her baby bump at the United Nations.”

The tweet linked to a story that ran on Time’s Motto website, which is focused on younger women. E! News ran: “Amal Clooney Shows Baby Bump in What Could be the Ultimate International Women’s Day Poster.”
