KENT: Kent State University has received three grants worth about $450,000 to start awareness and prevention initiatives on sexual harassment and assault, relationship violence and stalking on campus.
The largest grant, for $300,000, comes from the U.S. Office on Violence Against Women. Kent State also received $15,000 from the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Changing Campus Culture initiative and $135,000 from the Victims of Crime Act.
The school’s Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence and Support Services will oversee the programs.
