CLEVELAND: Three suspects in a Cleveland shootout that killed a 61-year-old college instructor and a 15-year-old boy have pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder charges.
A Cuyahoga County judge on Friday ordered that 18-year-old Kassius Williams, 25-year-old Terrell Gray and 26-year-old Charles Walker continue to be held on $2 million bonds.
Walker’s attorney says his client was driving a vehicle that Williams and Gray were riding in, but didn’t have a gun. Williams’ and Gray’s attorneys declined to comment.
Authorities say 61-year-old David Wilder was struck by a stray bullet while driving near the shootout between occupants of two vehicles. Tywain Johnson, a passenger in the second vehicle, died after being shot three times.
Wilder was an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University and at John Carroll University.
