AKRON: Diane Miller-Dawson has been appointed to a four-year term on the Summit County Children Services board of trustees.
She is the finance director for the city of Akron. Miller-Dawson, of Akron, was appointed by County Executive Ilene Shapiro.
Miller-Dawson is an alumna of Buchtel High School and attended the University of Akron, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in management and master’s degree in business administration.
In addition to serving on the Children Services board, she is a board trustee of the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Health System, member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and board trustee of the Akron Summit Solid Waste Authority.
