CANAL FULTON: City police have identified a suspect they believe is responsible for a series of break-ins at downtown businesses.
Authorities caught a man early Friday morning after an alarm went off at the Paolino’s Sports Pub & Grub on South Locust Street. The individual has not yet been charged, but police believe he is responsible for several other break-ins in the community over the last few months.
“Since the beginning of the reports coming in about the breaking and entering incidents, the officers have been working tirelessly on this case because it meant so much for the community,” Police Chief Douglas Swartz posted on the department’s Facebook page. “There is still a lot of ground work to cover but rest [assured] they are doing an amazing job and I can’t thank them enough.”
